Dr. Sanja Kostov

Raised in Edmonton, Dr. Kostov completed her residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Alberta in 2013. She joined the Royal Alexandra Family Medicine Centre in 2017 following 5 years of full scope practice in the Edmonton area. Dr. Kostov’s practice interests include reproductive, sex and gender health, and family medicine obstetrics.

As an Assistant Professor with the University of Alberta Department of Family Medicine, she also has a strong interest in medical education. She currently serves as the Reproductive Medicine & Urology Course Director for the MD program, and as the program director for the Enhanced Skills Family Medicine Obstetrics residency training program.

When Dr. Kostov is not at the MUHC, she is delivering babies or teaching medical students and resident doctors. In her spare time she enjoys getting outside with her husband and twin boys, and exploring Edmonton’s restaurants and wine bars.
